Join ceramicist Gabrielle White for an exploration of kintsugi, the ancient Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold. More than a craft, kintsugi is a meditation on resilience, transformation, and the beauty found in what has been broken and lovingly restored.

In this three-hour experience, we begin with a tea ceremony before intentionally breaking and repairing a teacup—yours to keep—using modern kintsugi materials. If time allows, you can purchase an MMclay piece (various cracked forms available) to repair during the workshop.

Snacks and libations will be served throughout.

Optional add-ons:

  • MMclay piece (30% off retail price per piece): Various cracked forms available to repair during/after the workshop 
  • At-home kintsugi kit ($45): Continue the practice at home; one kit available per participant

Taking your piece home:
Your pieces will set during the workshop but takes 24 hours to fully cure. Bring a small box if you're driving and want extra protection, or leave it at MMclay to cure fully before pickup.
