ABOUT US
Our Story
MMclay is a small production business specializing in handmade ceramic tableware and homeware. Founded by artist and designer MaryMar Keenan in 2015, MMclay began as a one-woman show that first caught the public’s attention with the Progress Collection, designed specifically for a San Francisco restaurant. Since then, the line has expanded, along with the studio space and the team.

The Studio
We now work out of a 1,500-square-foot studio in San Francisco, where we produce six lines of tableware and a growing collection of handmade lighting pendants. Most pieces are made to order, allowing our team of makers to take care in customizing each item with intention.
The Showroom
Our Hayes Valley studio also doubles as a showroom (and sometimes an art gallery or event space!) Located at 69 Gough St., the space is open to visitors who want to shop, say hello, or take a peek at the process behind our handmade ceramic tableware.
The Work
MMclay has been featured in Food & Wine Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, Goop, restaurants around the world—and most importantly, your dining table.
Each piece is designed to make daily routines feel special. Whether our ceramics join your life as part of a morning coffee, a family dinner, or as a part of your home decor, we hope they serve as a small reminder of the beauty that human hands can create.
