2 Part Workshop with Flower and Forage

This workshop combines the art of ceramics with floral design, offering a unique opportunity to learn from two experts in their respective fields. Participants will craft their own ceramic pieces, guided by MaryMar of MMclay, and then explore the world of floral design with Alyson Vitt, the founder of Flower & Forage.

Flower & Forage, based in Oakland, California, is known for its commitment to sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Alyson Vitt, who grew up in Western North Carolina, draws inspiration from the wild landscapes around her. Her designs focus on seasonal blooms and natural textures, often incorporating locally sourced, biodynamic, and foraged flowers.

Part 1 (April 24): Handbuild a vase with guidance from MaryMar Keenan. We’ll glaze and fire your pieces for you which will be available two weeks later.

Part 2 (May 10): Floral designer Alyson Vitt of Flower & Forage leads a styling session, guiding you through the art of floral arranging with a selection of blooms to choose from—arranging them in the vessel you’ve created.
